seasons greetings

HAPPY
CHRISTMAS!!!

-----------------------------------
visited gemki's blog and filched these quizzes:

You Are a Christmas Sweater!

Over the top, colorful, and totally flashy.
You're not afraid to be a little tacky.

You Are Internal - Believer - Powerful

You feel your life is controlled internally.
If you want something, you make it happen.
You don't wait around for things to go your way.
You value your independence and don't like others to have control.

You are a true believer in luck, fate, and karma.
You believe that life is a game of chance - not a game of skill.
You either consider yourself very unlucky or very lucky.
No matter what, you don't feel like you can change the hand you were dealt.

When it comes to who's in charge, it's you.
Life is a kingdom, and you're the grand ruler.
You don't care much about what others think.
But they better care what you think!

Paintball Commandos

still sore but want to go back for more

Came back from a team outing yesterday, it was raining but it trickled down to occasional showers, enough to have a reasonably enjoyable day at Enchanted Kingdom. But the liiiiiiiiiinnessssssssss! Waiting time for the Space Shuttle and Anchors Away in the afternoon was more than 1hr. I promised myself that I wasn't going home until I rode those 2, so line up I did. Rialto was a bit better than last time I was there. There were just too many people to ride everything...I missed the bumpcars and the ferris wheel and everything else. Next time I'm going there will be a weekday.

But the best part ever was PAINTBALL! Could've spent the whole day playing if it wasn't so expensive. We only got to play 2 games, it was guys against girls (& gays), no rules the goal was just to hit as many people from the other team as you can, ubusan ng bala. Am still sore from scurrying and squating, only have 1 bruise to brag about and I didn't even get splashed by paint since the some paintballs didn't explode. War games rule! ^_____^

Will post pics soon...

Murphy's Law working its ass off

ANd, no I'm not that much of a masochist so I took the hint

First off...darn this $%^&#$%() mouse, am defintiely buying a new one later at the mall. Let's just say that its so bad that even surfing the net is difficult. I awoke with a dead left arm this morning and had to shake it violently awake to avoid the ensuing painful prickles of blood rushing back in blood-starved veins. Said arm is now ready to fall off from exhaustion due to a faulty mouse that just won't work right.

Ok, on with the show.
Was supposed to attend the company christmas party last night. Venue was Greenbelt4, The theme is Oscar's Night and we're supposed to come as some celebrity. Needless to say, my cosplaying bones were tickled so I decided to come. Researched on who to come as, decided on Marisa Tomei's 2002 Oscar dress since it was simple AND black (read: reusable). Found a taylor who said he can make it in a week so i put him to work.

Everything was planned out and here comes Friday and things just fell apart
  • As expected the dress was not perfect, scheduled time for minor repairs on purpose. As it turned out the top was waaaaay too big. So ok, I can deal with that coz luckily I know basic stuff on sewing.
  • Then comes a text from my cousin, she needs my brother on the same day for fitting for her coming wedding the end of the month. There goes my transportation. I was close to crying out of frustration. But I worked out a schedule so I'll just change in some comfort room at the mall and moved meeting with team mates at a later time so I don't come in alone...
  • The last straw was that going home alone...the party was bound to end late so I made sure that I wasn't going to travel alone. After-party plans were still hazy so i can't bank on going to a gimmick after.
When that plan folded I still intended to go since I already had the dress and everything. I was on my way to the salon when I thought, "Bakit ko ba pinahihirapan sarili ko?". So I just treated myself and my brother to a haircut instead...would've gone for a hot oil treatment if my brother wasn't in a hurry to go to the fitting.

What I learned...I discovered that I'm really superstitious with these things, if the universe is giving me hints I take heed. It was just a party anyway...no biggie.

Best laid plans do go potty.

THE END
