joining the band bus
I have new friendster blog, hehe I'm joining the band wagon or as the itchy worms say in their fone ad...joining the band bus...
helomoto, helomoto tayo na sa bus sumakay...
helomoto, helomoto why don't you give a try
(hehehehehe, I've always wanted to blog about that....)
It's barely a month before my mom & dad comes home after 2 years of immigrating to California (the pinoy state). The panic mode is slowly settling in, but I guess we've made a headway on the preparations or in other words the clean up operations. Imagine the house being left to the care of 2 notsoyoung kids. The curtains have only been washed once...blinds left to gather dust...the whole house that by any mother would call a total wreck but by our standards it's not so bad. We do vacuum and sweep the floor once in a while and we're diligent with the laundry and cooking (as if we have a choice). We've ran out of kitchen utensils since they've long since succumbed to rust...though we still swear its something in the water.
As gemki puts it it's as if there are two different timelines working here, both true and accurate. On the one hand the time of their arrival seems so long in terms of all the goodies that my parents are bringing for us (an ipod for my brother and a laptop for me) and of course seeing them again after 2 years. But it's also true that the time is too short when you look at it in terms of how much we still have to do to make the house liveable again (by their standards that is). So here I am taking time off from the dirt and grime. I going to occupy my old room again and I have yet to empty it of various items not all of which are mine. We've turned it to a stockroom of some sort for the last 2 years. It needs a major clean up since it's been recently treated for termites. A colony of termites found it to their liking and set up residence there. I want to hose it down so everything has to be moved first. Started on it last weekend am working on getting my ass off to work on it again.
So that's only 3 weeks + 4 days left and the countdown begins....
