Bataan Day in May
This Memorial Day weekend was spent on the beach, the place is Morong Bataan. It was a team building of sorts for a newly disbanded team and I was yet again the 'saling pusa'.
The beach was ok and the water was great, not so salty nor deep and THE WAVES! Almost drowned on just 3 ft deep water. At the time I was fearing for my life but looking back I'm mostly embarrassed and amused. Imagine going under because of this particularly strong wave and rolling under the water like a ball thrice and here comes another wave keeping you down for another roll even before you could recover from the first. Before this I was a mere spectator watching everything...had my eyes open all the while but finally the fear set in and I realized that I was probably drowning. That was when I decided to fight the current and get my self upright pronto. I was quite embarrassed when I stood up that the water was just up to my knees and quickly looked around if other people saw me. Fortunately, the others suffered from the same predicament and had no time to watch me lose my dignity.
That was fun! I wish I could say that let's do that again but...no thanks!
And, unfortunately, my digicam batteries ran out fast and I only got 8 pics to show for that trip, I didn't even get a shot of the beach. GD! Oh well, I'll just get a copy from the others...
