TWO DAYS OFF AND I HAVE NOTHING TO DO (at least not anything bordering on fun)
The problem with this vacation is that i don't have any place to go. Admittedly, the purpose of this vacation is not to go anywhere but to get a respite from work and do the things that I have been neglecting to do at home. Not, that i'll be accomplishing them this weekend (I realize that now). I have too much backlog on things I want to be done that I'll never make a headway of them.
On top of the list is making the house habitable again, which is crazy since the way my brother and I are going with our "cleaning" my mom will get a heart attack if she sees the current state her house is in.
In conjunction to that I really need to fix my room, I've taken over my parents' room since their departure for the states. All I've been able to do is to move in my bed and some clothes and move around some furn/ture to suit my needs. Otherwise, it's still their room for the most part. Heck, I haven't even cleared enough closet space for myself and I don't have that extensive a wardrobe.
Generally, I've been itching to fix up the house but that means money so...it'll have to wait. The money for the new computer even got "detoured" and was relegated for use in getting the car fixed. Sigh!
One of the major reasons why I got this two-day vacation leave was to get myself started on writing again. All my plans were going well until the said new computer never materialized. So the whatever writing that will be done is going to be manual, i'm tempted to abandon it altogether but I don't want to waste my vacation for nothing. So I will at least make attempts get things done and maybe I'd at least get to finish my old comics attempt....
The other major reason was the death anniversary of my older brother. Since my parents aren't here to make the necessary preparations it's up to me to do them. So had to visit the cemetery yesterday and do some cooking. It is customary to cook the biko-like dish with the hardboiled egg atop plus at least one party dish which in this case was carbonara. I didn't invite anybody to the house though its expected, I really don't like being around people during these occasions. If they remembered then they'd come I don't have to invite people like it was a party.
